Impact of Climate Change On Multan Mangoes: Sweetness And Market Supply Affected

MULTAN: Multan mangoes, famous worldwide for their sweetness and taste, are also under the influence of seasonal changes. Due to the severe damage to the crop, the size and taste of the mango have been affected. Due to this, the mangoes of Multan could not come to the market.

According to a report by Dawn News, all the people want to taste the mango season, but due to climate change, the mango orchards have been severely damaged.

A gardener from Multan told Dawn News that ‘rains were needed at the time when the mangoes were supposed to be sweet, but there were no rains and later there were storms due to which the mango orchards have suffered a lot.’

Baghban also said that the government should also research mango cultivation so that these problems do not occur later and mango cultivation is good even in climate change.
